Casa do Cruzeiro

Casa do Cruzeiro is an inn in Alvações do Corgo, Portugal, with six rooms and an outdoor saltwater pool that looks out over the surrounding countryside. Guests have access to free parking and free WiFi throughout, a shared kitchen and lounge, and a sun terrace with outdoor furniture. Private check-in and check-out are available, and the property is open all year for adults only. The centre of Alvações do Corgo lies a short distance from the address on Rua dos Bardos.

Location
Alvações do Corgo sits in the Douro region of northern Portugal, a landscape of river valleys and terraced slopes. The inn stands on Rua dos Bardos, outside the busiest part of the parish, with the river and mountains visible from the grounds.

The Douro Museum in Peso da Régua is about 5.9 km away, and the town's railway stations — Régua, Godim and Corgo Halt — lie at a similar distance, making the property a base for exploring the wine country by train. Termas de Caldas do Moledo, a historic spa settlement, is roughly 9 km from the door, while Vila Real Airport is about 8 km away. The Alto da Fonte do Milho archaeological site and the Castro of Cidadelhe hillfort are within reach for a longer outing.

Rooms
All rooms are air-conditioned and soundproofed, each with a private bathroom, shower, bathrobe, hairdryer and free toiletries. A terrace with garden views, a TV, tea and coffee maker, microwave and dining table are provided, and bed linen and towels come as standard. The rooms suit couples and small groups.

Facilities
Breakfast is served on site, and a snack bar, fruit and wine or champagne (at an extra charge) are available. Guests can use the picnic area, sun deck and outdoor play equipment for children, along with board games and puzzles. Bicycle hire and cycling tours carry a supplement. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out from 08:00; pets are welcome and smoking is confined to designated areas.
