Catavento Turístico

Catavento Turístico is a guest house in Vendas de Grijó, Vila Nova de Gaia, housed in a 19th-century manor converted into a residence in 1980. It stands at a high point of the municipality and is recognised on the Way of Saint James, serving pilgrims bound for Santiago or Fátima. The property sits in Feiteira de Dentro, on the edge of Vendas de Grijó, at an elevated spot above the surrounding countryside. It lies beside National Road No. 1, with the A1, A41 and A29 expressways less than five minutes away by car. The Santa Maria de Lamas museum is about 3.6 miles from the door, and the hillfort of Castro de Ovil around 4.8 miles. Closer still are several railway halts: Granja station at roughly 4.7 miles, Espinho at 4.8 miles and Aguda at 5.1 miles. Praia de Miramar beach lies about 5.9 miles away. Porto's Douro River is around 9 miles off and Ribeira Square about 10.5 miles; Campanhã train station is roughly 10.5 miles away and Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport about 16.5 miles.
