Set within an 80-hectare estate of woodland and vineyards in the heart of the Beaujolais region, Château de Pizay dates back to the 11th century. This four-star property offers rooms and suites with views over the French-style gardens, the heated outdoor pool, the vineyards, or the castle itself. The Marcel Giroud Stadium and training center is located 5 km away.
Guest accommodations at Château de Pizay feature flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Some rooms are situated by the pool, while others look onto the formal French garden. No guest bedrooms are located within the castle itself.
The château is home to an award-winning spa spanning 1,000 m², offering multisensory treatments, hydrotherapy, a sauna and hammam, plus a wide selection of massages and wellness therapies.
Its gourmet restaurant serves seasonal dishes inspired by fresh local market ingredients, paired with fine wines from the estate or its two-hundred-year-old cellar. Wine tasting sessions can also be arranged. Located just 45 minutes from Lyon and 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris aboard the TGV, the château is especially loved by couples, who rate its location 9.4 out of 10 for two-person stays.
