Coast Inn at Lake Hood

Just a short stroll from Coast Inn at Lake Hood, you can watch float planes take off and land at one of the world's busiest seaplane bases. In winter, the frozen lake doubles as a runway for ski-equipped aircraft. True to its setting, the inn is filled with Alaska Bush Pilot memorabilia and historic photos, generously shared by the neighboring Alaska Aviation Museum.

Our guest rooms are meticulously maintained by a veteran housekeeping team—many have been with us for five years, some even twenty.
