This 15th-century manor, once home to philosopher René Descartes, has been beautifully restored and now features 16 rooms, a restaurant, a garden, and an outdoor heated pool available from mid-May through September. The town of Châtellerault is just 12 minutes away by car.
Each room is individually styled and comes with a large flat-screen TV. Most rooms and suites include complimentary WiFi, while some showcase exposed beams and stone walls.
From Monday to Saturday, a catering service is offered between 6:00 pm and 8:15 pm. Guests can enjoy sharing platters of local specialties, plus options like salads, fish and chips, beef tartare, and homemade desserts. Reservations must be made by 1:00 pm on the same day, subject to availability. Lunch is not served.
Reception is open from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday to Saturday during peak season. Please note both reception and the restaurant are closed on Sundays (self check-in is available). Pets are allowed in the hotel for an additional €12, but not in the restaurant or by the pool terrace.
Futuroscope Theme Park is a 25-minute drive away. Free public parking is available, and there’s an electric vehicle charging station on site.
