Location
The guesthouse sits outside Underberg, in the Southern Drakensberg region known as the Barrier of Spears. The area holds World Heritage status for its biodiversity and cultural history, and the surrounding landscape of mountain and forest shapes most days here. Hlokoma, a mountain peak, stands about 8.7 km away and gives walkers a nearby objective. Tours and classes about local culture, bike tours and walking tours can be arranged for a supplement, and horseback riding, cycling, hiking, canoeing and fishing take place off-site, some at an extra charge. A golf course lies within 2 miles, also for a fee.

Rooms
All rooms have a private bathroom with bath or shower, free toiletries, a hairdryer and towels. Heating, electric blankets and a fan cover the mountain climate, while extra-long beds, a desk, a seating area and a tea and coffee station appear throughout. Rooms suit couples, families and small groups.

Facilities
The restaurant serves meals, including special diet menus on request, and the bar pours wine and champagne for a supplement. Massage is available at an extra cost. Guests share a lounge with a TV, and packed lunches, baggage storage, daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing can be arranged, the last two for a fee. The property is smoke-free, with a designated smoking area, and has 24-hour security. Wifi and parking are free.
