Polisena L'Altro Agriturismo Veg

Nestled in the rolling hills of Lombardy's countryside, Polisena L'Altro Agriturismo Veg is an organic farmstead from the 1700s, located about 25 minutes from Bergamo and 35 minutes from Lake Lecco. It produces its own wine and features an organic restaurant open Wednesday through Sunday.

The property is built on a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, shaping everything from the ingredients used in the kitchen to the wine we grow. All heating and hot water come entirely from renewable sources like photovoltaic panels, solar thermal systems, geothermal energy, and biomass. As a result, shower water is comfortably warm rather than scalding hot.

This eco-conscious retreat was once a monastery, offering a peaceful hillside setting surrounded by private vineyards. It’s constructed with natural stone and wood.

The rooms are allergy-friendly, blending modern design with wooden floors and distinctive furniture. Each room boasts free Wi-Fi, countryside and vineyard views, and access to a bioclimatic verandah.

At the organic restaurant, meals center around homegrown produce with a mostly vegetarian menu. Guests can also enjoy wine tastings right in the vineyard, and for a fee, unwind in a spa featuring a Turkish bath and Finnish sauna.

The wine produced here is well-known in the Valcalepio wine region and is available for purchase on-site. Pontida Train Station is a 10-minute drive away, and a complimentary shuttle to and from Orio Al Serio Airport can be arranged upon request.
