Riverstone Acres

Riverstone Acres is a guest house in a restored shearers' quarters on a working farm near Waihi, at the foot of the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park just off the Karangahake Gorge. Two private bedrooms are booked separately, each with its own lock, and guests share a bathroom, a lounge and a kitchen. The guest house stands on Franklin Road outside Waihi, on farmland bordered by native bush at the edge of the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park. The surrounding area is known for its forested ranges and the Karangahake Gorge, and a DOC track leads from the property straight into bush walks. Owharoa Falls lies about 5 km away, a short drive for an outing. Tauranga Airport is roughly 44 miles from the farm for those arriving by air.

Both bedrooms have air conditioning, heating, a hairdryer and free toiletries, with towels and linens provided. A refrigerator, electric kettle, tea and coffee maker, kitchenware and a dining table are available, and some rooms open onto a balcony with river views or face an inner courtyard.
