This family-run property occupies a 17th-century building at the core of the medieval district, right by the old town walls. It serves traditional German cuisine. The 3-star Akzent Hotel Schranne offers rooms with classic wooden furnishings and private bathrooms.

Each room comes with a flat-screen TV. A full breakfast buffet is available every morning. Bavarian and Franconian specialties are served in our restaurant or on the terrace. The name “Schranne” derives from the Old High German word “scranna,” meaning grain barn. A large city granary once stood nearby. The current building was constructed in the 17th century as a noble family’s residence and later converted into an inn by the Meinold family. Over time, it has been continuously renovated and expanded, now featuring 46 modern rooms, five restaurant halls, a beer garden, and parking.
