Set amid breathtaking mountain scenery, the award-winning Strands Inn, Screes Inn, and Strands Brewery sit right at the center of the Wasdale Valley. Every room comes with its own private bathroom, while the on-site kitchen serves up traditional Cumbrian dishes and the bar pours cask ales crafted right on the premises.
Each room includes tea and coffee-making facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi is available across The Strands Hotel, and guests can take advantage of free on-site parking.
Dating back to the 18th century, The Strands and Screes Inn have kept their historic charm with exposed wooden beams, cozy log fires, and plenty of original character. The menu highlights freshly cooked, home-style food, and you can even sample beer brewed in the small on-site micro-brewery.
Perfectly located for exploring the Lake District National Park, the inns offer easy access to Wastwater—the area’s deepest lake—and Scafell Pike, both just a short walk away.
