The menu at The Apple Inn celebrates the best of Northumbrian produce, featuring freshly caught fish, tender meats, and a variety of tasty vegetarian options. Of course, no traditional pub would be complete without a fine selection of real ales—here, you can enjoy their signature ‘Lucker Gold’ and ‘St Hilda’ ale brewed by Alnwick Brewery, alongside a wide range of beers, lagers, and ciders. For those who prefer something softer, freshly brewed tea and coffee are always on offer, all served in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

We’ve recently added five brand-new Shepherd’s Huts to our accommodation options, set in the scenic Northumberland village of Lucker. Just across the road from the pub, these wooden retreats provide peaceful countryside stays complete with woodburning stoves, and are perfectly positioned for exploring some of Northumberland’s top attractions, from historic castles and sandy beaches to scenic coastal walks.

Each Shepherd’s Hut features a snug living and dining space, an en suite shower room, and a king-sized bed—ideal for two adults. And yes, they’re dog-friendly as well!
