Our journey begins at Casa Mandarina, a cozy starting point. From there, we'll dive into the heart of Antigua's food culture.

The Itinerary is focus on providing a balance of local and modern influence:
Stop 1: Wheat and Coffee
We'll kick off our tour with a visit to a beloved local coffee shop, where we can enjoy coffee from local families. After almost 500 years of Spanish influence we have learned and improved the techniques and different baking recipes, becoming so well accepted and so popular that we have bakeries almost every 2 corners from which we can highlight "Cuchi Cuchi", "El Viejo Café ", "Doña Luisa Xicotencatl".
Stop 2: Corn Products
The domestication of corn was done 8,000 years ago, it changed our history and the basis of our gastronomy, we definitely have to Savor the products made with the most relevant ingredient of all in the Mayan culture, we can choose between the treasures made with Mayan gold like Tamalitos or Chuchitos, Dobladas or Tamales Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Stop 3: Fruits
Delight yourself with the exotic fruits of Guatemala, we will try one or two different fruits, depending on the season they can be Jocotes, Rambután, Chico, Anona, Paterna, Pitaya or Zapote. These are seasonal fruits that will delight your palate with their unique flavors.
Stop 4: The Daily Dishes
Explore the food area inside the market, where we could taste traditional recipes from Pepian, Jocon, Revolcado or Pulique* which are thick and rich sauces or soups even compare to stew texture, accompanied by tortilla.
Stop 5: Traditional Sweets
Visit a candy stand and sample traditional Guatemalan sweets, from Tamarindo balls, Guava sweets, or Canillitas de Leche. These sweet treats have a rich history influenced by Spanish traditions.
Stop 6: La Merced
La Merced* has a variaty to enjoy and delight from sunch as traditional Atol, Rellenitos or Tostadas with guacamole/beans /tomato sauce. These dishes provide a taste of the region's culinary heritage.
Stop 7: Cheers!
Our last stop but not the least will be, depending on your preference we will cheers with eather 4Oz of artisanal beer at the Arch Street or a Chocolate at the cacao museum. In any of these scenaries we will have the perfect chance to share our suggestions for pubs, restaurants or any other interest you may have for the rest of your trip.
