Day 1: Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum & Travel to Luxor
Start with pickup from your hotel in Cairo. Meet your Egyptologist guide who will take you on a guided tour of the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
From there, head to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which houses around 150,000 artifacts from the eras of Ancient Egyptian civilization. Aadmire the incredible treasures of the boy-king Tutankhamun and the examples of Ancient Egyptian art.
Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant, before a transfer to Cairo Airport to take the flight in the evening to Luxor. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Luxor for the night.
Day 2: Hot Air Balloon & Luxor West Bank & Temple of Karnak
Rise early in the morning for a spectacular hot air balloon ride over Luxor, and take in the stunning views.
After landing, head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings. Stroll around the complex and see the tombs and resting places of Egyptian kings such as Merneptah, Ramesses III, and Ramesses VI.
Visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dedicated to the fifth pharaoh and the only female ruler of Egypt. Stop by the Colossi of Memnon and see the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.
Visit the Temple of Karnak on the East Bank of Luxor, before heading to the cruise ship for an overnight stay on the River Nile.
Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
After breakfast on board the ship, take a horse-drawn carriage to Edfu. Enjoy a guided visit to the Temple of Horus and witness its marvelous sandstone statues.
Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on the boat as you sail to your next destination. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. Learn about the structures of the temple and how it was built in honor of two great gods. Return to the boat for dinner and free time.
Day 4: Abu Simbel & Travel to Cairo
In the early morning, check out from your room, and visit the Temples of Abu Simbel. Meet your guide at the temple and discover the twin temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari, built into the mountainside under the dynasty of Pharaoh Ramesses II.
After finishing the visit you will be dropped off at Aswan Airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Cairo for the night.
Day 5: Alexandria Tour
Enjoy a full day of exploring the historic city of Alexandria. Travel by a modern, air-conditioned car to Alexandria, and upon your arrival, first explore Kom El-Deka which was a well-off residential area in Graeco-Roman times.
Continue to the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Visit the Great Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, Egypt, which is based on one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world.
Finally explore the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean coast. Finally, head back to Cairo to finish your multiday adventure.
