At 8:00 am, guests will be picked up from their hotel for a 35-kilometer tour, beginning with an inspection of the restored hacienda "El Torreon." Constructed in the 1800s and once serving as a stronghold during Apache conflicts, this structure underwent extensive renovations and restoration efforts over the past 14 years.
Following the exploration of El Torreon, our journey continues to a cave that has been utilized as both a refuge and a spiritual sanctuary by travelers traversing the desert region. Visitors may observe Apache and Raramuri dance performances alongside traditional peyote rituals within these ancient caverns. The scenic route spans approximately 20 minutes each direction.
Our next destination involves visiting the former "El Sauz" hacienda, currently housed as a museum devoted to documenting the lives of Apaches and cowboys. Here, visitors will have the opportunity to examine artifacts and weapons associated with the Apache Wars, providing insight into the era through interactive displays.
To conclude our tour, guests will dine at "Los 500 Novillos," an eatery where a pre-revolutionary corrido was recorded. This establishment offers a culinary experience typical of the region, allowing guests to enjoy a satisfying meal before departing.
