Palcoyo Mountain Range Hike

To access Palcoyo, hikers begin their journey at dawn, departing from their accommodation around 4:00-5:00 AM. Upon reaching Cusipata, participants will embark on a scenic drive towards a designated parking area. Here, they will board their vehicles for the challenging yet rewarding ascent through the rugged terrain.

The trail to Palcoyo is approximately two hours long, traversing at a moderate pace while incorporating frequent stops for rest and refreshment. At the summit, guests will encounter the picturesque Forest of Stones, a unique geological formation featuring intricate stone formations sculpted by nature over millennia.

Following the guided exploration, travelers will retrace their steps back to the vehicle. They will then proceed to Cusipata for a leisurely lunch before returning to the main square of Cusco, arriving shortly after 6:00 PM.
