Your private tour will begin with a pick up from your Lisbon hotel or cruise port. The objective of the day will be to show you Mafra, with it's 18th century national palace classified as a national monument and World Heritage by Unesco. As this is a private tour, you will have the freedom to rearrange your tour how you see fit. Below is the standard itinerary:

After your pick-up, proceed directly to Mafra, where you will arrive after a 45 min drive. Your first stop will be at the center of Mafra, where you can visit the Palace and Basilica (approximately 1.30h for the whole visit). After that, depending on the time of the year and the program of the day, it may be possible to go to the Tapada, a park on the back of the palace that served as hunting ground for the King and Royal family, where you can freely visit and see all the animals that live there in the wild. Not all programs are available everyday and all year round so please inquire about the programs before booking

Before heading to Ericeira for lunch at one of the many seafood restaurants, head to a beautiful miniature village created by the imagination of a Portuguese ceramist, José Franco. After lunch, drive along the coastline to Cabo da Roca, visiting a few more small beaches on the way if time allows, before returning to Lisbon via the scenic route by the sea. This route is always preferred due to its scenic beauty which is considered to be the little Portuguese Côte d'Azur.

If you choose the half day program after the palace visit we will go either to the tapada or Ericeira, according to your choice, and back to Lisbon via the quicker route.
