Your private day tour will begin with pickup from your Lisbon hotel or cruise port. Discover the national monuments in Tomar, part of which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As this is a private tour, you will have the freedom to rearrange your tour how you see fit within the allotted time. Below is the standard itinerary for the full day route:

After the pickup head directly towards Tomar, an approximate 1.5-hour drive. Upon arrival you will visit the castle area which includes the famous convent of Christ where one of the most beautiful works of the Manueline style can be seen. Afterwards, enjoy a small stroll in the center of the city where you can taste some of the local sweets and/or lunch after which you will head to the Almourol Castle, a small castle in the middle of an island in the river Tagus, which was also used by the Templar Knights as part of their defense.

Before heading back to Lisbon we will still have time to visit the Templar Intepretation Center in Barquinha before returning to the hotel approimately by 5:30 PM in the full day option. The Half day option will focus only in the city of Tomar and the convent of Christ as it will occupy most of the time
