Tamgaly Tas offers an immersive exploration of ancient petroglyphs dating back to the 17th and 11th centuries, accompanied by intricate Buddhist rock paintings. Just across the river lies a reconstructed medieval Eastern Fortress, meticulously preserved since 2005, providing an authentic glimpse into the Middle Ages on the Kazakh Steppe.

The itinerary begins with a departure from Almaty at 8:00 AM, followed by a two-hour drive to reach Tamgaly Tas. Upon arrival, participants embark on a 1.5-hour guided tour through the petroglyph site, marveling at its rich historical significance. Following this, there's a leisurely trekking excursion to further explore the surrounding area.

Next, travelers proceed to the City of Nomads for a 1.5-hour tour, allowing them ample time to appreciate the local culture and architecture while enjoying panoramic views of the region. Afterward, they make their way to Almaty, departing after lunch at 2:30 PM. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, culminating in an evening arrival back in Almaty at 4:30 PM.
