Tour Itinerary: Day 1
Upon arrival at the designated pickup location, we will depart from your hotel at approximately 5:00 AM to commence our journey southward towards Cusco.
Throughout the day, we will traverse through various picturesque villages, before proceeding to the renowned Pomacanchi Lagoon. Upon reaching the lagoon, we shall allocate ample time for photography and leisurely exploration.
Our itinerary then shifts towards the town of Sangarara, where we will indulge in an exquisite morning meal. Following this, we will proceed to the charming community of Pitumarca, where we will embark upon a guided walk to the Archaeological Center of Waqrapukara.
On this route, we shall encounter an array of indigenous flora and fauna, including condors, llamas, alpacas, huallatas, Andean hummingbirds, vicuñas, wild horses, cattle, and more. Our experience here will be enriched by shared interactions with both nature and local inhabitants.
Arriving at Waqrapukara around noon, we will conclude the first day's excursion with a delightful picnic lunch. After resting briefly, we will set forth to retrace our steps back to the Sangarara district. This journey will culminate in the evening as we make our way back to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 PM.

Following an awakening to the breathtaking views of the early morning sky, we will partake in a sumptuous breakfast. Subsequently, we will embark on a thorough exploration of Waqrapukara, marveling at its architectural wonders such as the Moon and Sun Enclosure, Wiracocha Enclosure, Towers, Stands, Main Palace, Double and Triple Jamb Portals, Bastions, Buildings, and the majestic Apurimac Canyon and its geological formations.
Having concluded our appreciation of these remarkable sites, we will proceed to relish a hearty lunch. Post-lunch, we will undertake a serene walk through the Sangarara district, ultimately returning to Cusco around 7:00 PM.
