Villa La Angostura, Excursion to the False Filo Belvedere

We cordially invite you to embark on an extraordinary journey at Villa La Angostura, where you will experience the awe-inspiring views of the imposing False Filo Belvedere, the breathtaking Mirador Belvedere, and the serene beauty of the Inacayal waterfall. This unforgettable opportunity awaits you, offering an unparalleled glimpse into nature's splendor.

Our journey commences in the heart of Villa La Angostura, where we shall embark upon a memorable exploration led by a knowledgeable guide. We will commence our trip via a scenic route through the picturesque northern neighborhood, traversing Cacique Antriao Street before arriving at a designated parking area reserved by the Mapuche community. Our experienced driver will oversee the transportation, while our guide will provide insightful security tips and detailed descriptions of the forthcoming excursion.

Upon receiving comprehensive instructions and preparation, we will proceed on foot, ascending a winding path toward the false edge. This ascent features a series of zigzagging terrains across a broad roadway that once served as vehicular traffic. As we make our way towards the viewpoint, we'll encounter a trail leading to the Inacayal Cascade Waterfall, a dramatic plunge of approximately 50 meters accessible via a pathway among reeds, lengas, and dense forests. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy the waterfall's beauty alongside the Belvedere Mirador en route back to the starting point.

This journey promises both tranquility and physical exertion, culminating in a serene overlook offering panoramic vistas of Lagos Correntoso, Nahuel Huapi, and the rugged peaks of Inacayal, Valle del Cajón Negro, and Cerro Bayo. The descent from this elevated position is equally exhilarating, albeit easier than anticipated due to the gradual incline. After completing the final ascent, we'll reach the summit adorned with a massive wooden cross, commanding a breathtaking vista of the northern arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, the Bridge over Route 231, and a glimpse of Correntoso Lake.

Descending, we traverse a lush Andean-Patagonian forest path that eventually leads us to the Mirador Belvedere, a natural vantage point providing magnificent views of the lake's northern expanse. Once safely back in our starting location, we will return to Villa La Angostura via comfortable transportation.
