The Terracotta Army is a group of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of unified China. It was discovered in 1974 near Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and consists of over 8,000 life-size figures, including horses, chariots, and infantry soldiers.
The terracotta warriors were created between 221 BCE and 206 BCE, making them among the oldest known examples of mass-produced sculpture in the world.
Visitors can see the Terracotta Warriors at the Mausoleum Site Museum in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province.
While much of the original Terracotta Army has been lost due to natural erosion and looting, some fragments have survived and can be seen at various museums around the world.
