This tour is recommended for people who want to discover Japanese local natures and suburban life near Tokyo!

Hi!
I'm Mayuko, friendly local guide in Yokosuka town.
I'm licensed Kanagawa Official Tour Guide who love hiking and climbing in the nature.

This hike is approximately 6 kilometers in total.
It's recommended to come wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.

I'll do my best to support guest this experience be enjoyable. Most important thing is my guest feel comfortable and relaxing during the tour. Please feel free anything to get in touch with me beforehand.

The tour begins at JR Higashi-Zushi Station.
From there the entrance to the approach to the ancient temple is quite close. Follow the approach through a stone path and fern-covered forest to reach the ancient mass grave site and the austere JINMUJI Temple over 1,000 years.

Climb the rock-dotted path and pass through a slightly thrilling chain-link passage to reach the summit 139 meters above sea level, where you will have a spectacular 360-degree view. It is a perfect place for a commemorative photo.

After taking a break at the summit, which has long been a famous climbing spot in Japan, continue on to a path in the forest towards gigantic Buddha carved in the stone.

Finally at the foot of the Mt. Takatoriyama, enjoy having an experience the Mini Bouldering Gym and Café where Locals Unwind.

[After tour]
- I can recommend some worthwhile travel destinations, cafes, and restaurants when you want.

-When the bouldering cafeteria is closed, you can choose your preferred destination from the above options.
