"Comfort in Masseria Jarche"

Taranto, Italy

ANTICA MASSERIA JORCHE

A unique culinary adventure awaits visitors who explore the rich tapestry of Puglia through a combination of wine tastings in a historic cellar and an exquisite meal served at an ancient flour mill dating back to 1700. This unforgettable journey offers a profound appreciation for the region's traditional gastronomy, where each dish embodies the essence of authentic Puglian flavors.

The reception of guests commences with a welcoming aperitif featuring our Negroamaro rosé IGP Salento, paired with homemade friselle and our Jarche extra virgin olive oil. Following this, a guided tour of the cellar ensues, where visitors sample a primitive wine aged directly in the barrique, comparing its characteristics with our Manduria DOP version. Throughout the tour, participants enjoy local cheeses and the tasting of a traditional Apulian sweet, known as "hard pieces," enriched with almonds.

Following the cellar tour, guests proceed to an ancient semi-hypogeum oil mill for a meal prepared according to an authentic Apulian culinary tradition, complemented by our chef's usual dishes but excluding any wines served. Post-dinner, they partake in a sleepover at a deluxe double room, starting each morning with a sumptuous breakfast.
