According to folklore, this location was chosen due to its proximity to the site where Chinggis Khaan discovered a golden whip.

Complementing the equestrian statue, the complex features an impressive museum housing artifacts from both the Huns and the Mongol Empire, a café, and a souvenir shop. Visitors can also appreciate the archaeological discoveries at the Mongol Empire History Museum, photograph themselves in traditional costumes, or marvel at one of the world's tallest Traditional Boots standing at 9 meters high.

Gorkhi Terelj National Park, situated approximately 50 kilometers east of Ulaanbaatar, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance.
