Day 1:
Upon arrival in the Loire Valley, guests will be picked up from their hotel and driven approximately 2,5 hours (180 km) via the A7 motorway towards the historic sites of the region. Upon reaching the charming town of Amboise, guests will have an opportunity to explore the magnificent Château d’Amboise before traveling 60 kilometers north towards the picturesque village of Chenonceau.
Guests will then embark on a guided tour of the iconic Chenonceau Castle, designed during the reign of King Charles VIII between 1517 and 1544. Day 2:
In the morning, after checking out from the hotel, guests will be driven to the heart of the Normandy region, embarking on a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mont Saint-Michel. The visit will begin with a brief overview of the abbey’s history and its place within the broader cultural context of medieval Europe. Guests will then spend two hours exploring the abbey itself, admiring its stunning architecture and learning about its daily life.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant overlooking the sea, allowing guests to savor traditional French dishes amidst breathtaking views. Following lunch, guests will travel to Omaha Beach, a significant location during World War II, where visitors will learn about the pivotal events of June 6, 1944, including the massive sacrifices made by Allied forces.
