Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Zhangjiajie, China
Embark on an exhilarating two-day private tour through the breathtaking landscapes of the Yuanjiajie Mountains and beyond. This exclusive adventure offers an unparalleled opportunity for nature enthusiasts and explorers alike to immerse themselves in the stunning beauty of these majestic peaks.
Description
The journey commenced early in the morning, with exploration set to commence at 8:00 AM. A 1.5-hour hike led participants to the enchanting Golden Whip Creek, the largest freshwater stream within Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. This scenic location, known for its 1300-foot-tall (390-meter-tall) Golden Whip Rock spanning nearly 6 miles (9 kilometers), captivated visitors with its picturesque beauty.
Following the exhilarating hike, guests were invited to sample authentic Chinese cuisine at a local restaurant, marking the conclusion of their first day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The day's highlight concluded with a visit to Baofeng Lake, a man-made lake created in 1975 through the construction of a dam near the park. Despite being an artificial lake, the serene surroundings and rugged terrain continue to draw tourists from around the globe.
On the subsequent day, visitors embarked upon a unique experience as they ascended Yuanjiajie Mountain via the Hundred Dragons Elevator, standing at 1,200 feet (360 meters). The elevation allowed them ample time to explore the Southern Heavenly Pillar, an inspiration for the iconic "Avatar Hallelujah Mountain" scene featured in the movie Avatar.
Proceeding to the Platform of Forgetfulness, participants soaked in panoramic vistas of the sandstone peak landscape, setting the stage for a memorable stroll across the awe-inspiring "Bridge Under Heaven." Following this, lunch was served at a nearby local restaurant, providing sustenance during what would become a significant portion of the day.
Later, passengers boarded an eco-bus to Tianzi Mountain, where they rode a cable car to admire a captivating fairyland—Ten-mile Natural Gallery. From here, magnificent views of the Bailong Elevator, Tianzi Mountain, and Ten-mile Natural Gallery could be enjoyed, offering a glimpse into the natural grandeur of the region.
Upon arrival at the hotel, guests settled down for restful sleep, ready to relish another vibrant day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
