3 Days Ngorongoro Crater Wildlife Safari Tour

This three-day safari provides an opportunity to observe a diverse array of wildlife amidst a range of unique landscapes. Visitors can explore the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to large elephant populations.

On Day 1, departing from Arusha en route to the enchanting Ngorongoro Crater, travelers traverse through lush agricultural landscapes dotted with maize, coffee, and banana plantations, accompanied by a panoramic view of the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment, offering breathtaking vistas across distant Lake Manyara.

Upon arrival, guests settle into their accommodations for lunch before embarking upon a leisurely afternoon filled with various recreational options. This period allows participants to explore diverse activities such as cultural encounters—opportunities to immerse oneself in the traditional ways of life experienced by indigenous tribes like the Iraqw—and game drives lasting until dusk, where sightings of the Big Five, cheetahs, and hyenas await under the starlit skies.

In the afternoon, guests return to the campsite for a picnic breakfast beneath the expansive floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. The area boasts approximately 30,000 inhabitants, with half being zebras and wildebeests, along with numerous predators including hyenas, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The saline white sands of Lake Magadi take on a pastel pink hue due to the congregation of thousands of flamingos feeding on algae and shrimp, while other waterbirds, such as avocets, plovers, and black-winged stilts, add to the vibrant ecosystem.

Following the packed lunch, guests undertake another game drive ascent to the rim of the crater, eventually returning to their accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Simba Campsite or a comparable establishment.
