Experience an unparalleled panoramic view from Lima! Explore the enchanting colonial and restored architectural marvels of Lima’s Historic Center, which holds the distinction of being a UNESCO World Heritage site. Founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535, this historic district offers visitors a glimpse into Peru's rich history and culture.

Upon arriving at the designated meeting point in Miraflores around 11:00 AM, we commence our panoramic tour of Lima’s historical landmarks. Our itinerary includes several key sites, each offering unique insights into the city's rich heritage.

Firstly, we encounter the Parque de la Reserva, which stands out due to its historical significance. Located in the heart of Lima, this site marks the location where Peruvian reserves once gathered to defend their city during the Pacific War conflict. Today, it has been transformed into a popular recreational area known as the Magic Water Circuit, established in 2007 and now boasting the Guinness World Record for being the largest fountain complex within a public park.

Following the Parque de la Reserva, we proceed to the Colonial City, one of the significant capitals of the Viceroyalty of Peru under Spanish rule. This period saw the construction of numerous colonial mansions, balconies, palaces, and the iconic Plaza San Martín, named after the renowned patriot Jose de San Martin who declared Peru's independence from Spain on July 28, 1821.

Our journey continues along the historic center, where we explore the Plaza Mayor or Plaza de Armas, housing some of the most prominent governmental structures of Peru, including the Presidential Palace, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, the Archbishop's Palace, the Union Club, and the Cathedral of Lima.

Next, we make our way to the Convent of San Francisco de Lima, featuring its distinctive catacombs. The guided tour delves beneath the surface, revealing intricate vaulted chambers constructed primarily from brick, lime, and stone. Visitors are invited to observe how the deceased were interred, ensuring proper distribution across the space.

As we conclude our exploration, we return to Miraflores around 3:00 PM or 2:30 PM, depending on availability, marking the end of another enriching day of sightseeing in the captivating city of Lima.
