Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
Pick up from the Airport and transfer to your Hotel in Kampala. Our driver-guide will be waiting upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport to transport you to your accommodation in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, a city tour may be arranged during the initial hours after check-in.

Day 2:
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Following your early-morning breakfast, our driver-guide will depart for a thrilling adventure to Kibale National Park. A lunch stop will occur in Fort Portal along the route. Enjoy a leisurely rest atop a hill for lunch. Proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, arriving by evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight accommodation.

Day 3:
Begin your day with a morning breakfast before embarking on a guided tour to Kibale Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you'll receive instructions and be grouped into teams of up to eight individuals. Spend approximately one hour tracking chimpanzees, followed by a return trip to the picking point where you'll be driven to your hotel for lunch. For those interested in extended chimpanzee tracking experiences, an additional fee applies.

Kibale Forest National Park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, boasting over thirteen primate species, including local red colobus, L’Hoest monkeys, and the endangered Uganda mangabey. The park’s highlight is undoubtedly the chimpanzees, known for their graceful tree-dwelling habits. This region also hosts elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, and numerous antelope species, offering a captivating ecosystem.

Following your afternoon meal, venture out on an evening nature walk. Departure from your hotel to Bigodi Wetland, a community-led conservation project focusing on birdwatching, primate observation, and cultural interactions. The community guide will lead you on a two-to-three-hour walk based on your preferences. Expect to see various monkey species alongside a variety of birds, including the Great Blue Turaco, woodpeckers, and vibrant African communities.

Return to your hotel in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stays. Your journey typically takes around five to seven hours, subject to varying activity levels.
