On the inaugural day of this journey, guests will commence their arrival at Paro International Airport via air travel. Upon completion of immigration formalities, they will be met by our dedicated representative who will guide them through a two-hour drive towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Alongside their journey, visitors shall witness the imposing Memorial Stupa, commemorating the legacy of the Third King of Bhutan. Subsequently, they will explore the colossal Buddha Dordenma Statue, a monumental representation of the historical Buddha, constructed in honor of His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuck's sixtieth anniversay. This magnificent structure stands at a height of 52 meters, composed of 125,000 smaller statues, crafted with meticulous attention to detail. To conclude their day, travelers will proceed to Tashichho Dzong, a revered Buddhist monastery and citadel located atop the northern outskirts of the city. Its historical significance dates back to its establishment as the residence of the Druk Desi, the highest-ranking civil official, amalgamated with the royal lineage since the inception of Bhutan’s monarchical system in 1907.
