This tour offers visitors an unparalleled opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and breathtaking natural beauty of Bhutan. Highlights include visits to Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and Gangtey, providing a comprehensive overview of the country's diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.
Arrival at Paro International Airport, guests are met by our professional English-speaking guide. Upon arrival, they proceed to Thimphu, the bustling capital city. This journey spans approximately one and a half hours, during which visitors have the opportunity to explore various sites including Tamchog Lhakhang, situated atop a hill offering scenic views. Upon reaching Thimphu, guests check into their accommodation. Following lunch, guests proceed to the National Memorial Chorten, where they witness elderly individuals performing prostrations around the sacred stupa. They then continue to the Paper Factory, where traditional Bhutanese handmade paper is produced under the watchful eyes of artisans. Subsequently, they tour the Archery Ground, engaging in friendly competitions among locals while walking through Norzin Lam, the heart of Thimphu’s downtown area. Later, they visit the Tashichho Dzong, often referred to as “the fortress of the glorious religion,” housing the main secretariat and the central monastery assembly. From here, guests embark on a scenic drive towards Gangtey, covering approximately three to four hours. Alongside this route, they make a detour to the Dochu-La Pass, situated at an elevation of 3,100 meters, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas and snow-capped mountain ranges. At the summit, they encounter the Druk Wangyel Chorten, another notable structure comprising 108 stupas. Proceeding deeper into Gangtey, guests visit the Crane Information Center, gaining insights into the natural environment of the region. In addition, they attend the Gangtey Gompa, a historical site dating back to the seventeenth century. Their next destination is Punakha, where they undertake a challenging hike along the Gangtey Nature Trail, enjoying the stunning vistas of Phobjikha Valley. Upon reaching Punakha, guests are treated to the magnificent Punakha Dzong, perched between Male and Female Rivers. Here, they engage in a thrilling activity—river rafting, though additional costs apply. Post-activity, they visit Chimi Lhakhang, dedicated to fertility, attributed to the legendary Lam Drukpa Kuenley, renowned for his unconventional behaviors. For dinner, they return to Punakha to sample Bhutanese cuisine and immerse themselves in a traditional hot stone bath. An afternoon leisurely stroll through the town awaits them before concluding their day with a visit to the Paro Rinpung Dzong. Early the next morning, guests bid farewell to their surroundings by embarking on a trek to Taktsang Monastery, standing guard on a cliff overlooking the Paro Valley. The ascent takes approximately two to two-and-a-half hours each direction. Following breakfast, they proceed to Paro National Museum, followed by a visit to the Paro Rinpung Dzong. During the evening, they indulge in farm-to-table dining experiences, savoring Bhutanese delicacies paired with traditional hot stones. To conclude their stay, guests board flights bound for their final destinations.
