This safari offers visitors the opportunity to experience three renowned wildlife parks in Uganda, including encounters with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and opportunities to observe various species of Ugandan wildlife.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) via Tubale Safaris, guests will be greeted by their dedicated team who will conduct a comprehensive orientation session before facilitating the transfer to their hotel for respite. Subsequently, guests will travel to the Ndere Cultural Center in Kampala Central, a hub for showcasing Ugandan traditions through performances, music, dance, and theater.
Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the Hilton Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale for Chimpanzee Tracking
In the morning, guests will board a vehicle bound for Kibale Forest National Park (KFNP). This picturesque drive traverses charming landscapes, including villages, verdant countryside, and tea plantation hills, highlighting the region’s unique character. Known for its diverse primate species such as chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys, KFNP offers a rich tapestry of wildlife experiences.
Overnight, guests will reside at Kibale Forest Camp, enjoying safari tents.
Day 3: Chimp Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
Following breakfast, guests will commence their expedition into Kibale Forest. A briefing session will follow, outlining guidelines for chimpanzee viewing. Subsequently, they will set off on a guided chimpanzee trek. Upon encountering the apes, guests can expect one hour of intimate observation. Post-chimpanzee encounter, guests will venture forth for a Bigodi Swamp Walk, providing visitors with a serene environment ideal for wildlife encounters.
Overnight, guests will remain at Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP and Kazinga Channel Boat Trip
After breakfast, guests will exit Kibale Forest National Park and continue towards Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP). QENP stands as Uganda’s second-largest reserve, nestled amidst the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, near Lakes Edward and George.
Overnight, guests will spend their night at Buffalo Safari Lodge, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth NP Game Drive and Explosion Crater Drive
With the sun rising early, guests will enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains. They may observe lions, elephants, leopards, bushbucks, cape buffaloes, waterbucks, giant forest hogs, and Uganda kob. Following the day’s activities, guests will return to their lodgings for rest and lunch.
Later in the afternoon, they will undertake an exploration of the Kazinga Crater, a dramatic geological feature.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth NP Tree Climbing Lion Sighting and Bwindi Impenetrable NP Transfer
Rising early, guests will savor their breakfast before venturing out to search for tree-climbing lions. Afterward, they will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BIOP).
Overnight, guests will sleep at Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Starting their day with an early breakfast, guests will meet with a ranger guide for a thrilling experience. The breathtaking scenery of the Bwindi Forest awaits them ahead.
Overnight, guests will rest at Heritage Lodge Habuharo, where the natural beauty of the area promises unforgettable moments.
Day 8: Departure from Bwindi Impenetrable NP
Having enjoyed a tranquil start to the day with a breakfast overlooking Bwindi Hills Bunyonyi, guests will prepare for their departure. The journey back to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) begins, leaving behind memories of incredible wildlife sightings and memorable experiences.
Final Note: Guests arriving at EBB will be met by Tubale Safaris staff and transported to their chosen accommodations, ensuring a seamless transition from arrival to departure.
