All inclusive Wolong or Dujiangyan Panda Base Volunteering

Inclusive services offered at both Wolong and Dujiangyan Panda Base for volunteers comprise entrance tickets, uniforms, programs, buffets lunches, private English-speaking guides and drivers, as well as full-day transfers.

Please meet your private driver in the hotel lobby in the morning. This journey will take approximately two hours to reach either Dujiiangyan or Wolong Panda Breeding Center, depending on traffic conditions. Upon arrival, proceed to check into the volunteer program, wear the required uniform, obtain your volunteer identification card, and secure the services of a professional panda keeper instructor who will guide you through the fascinating lives of these magnificent creatures. Your responsibilities during this period will encompass cleaning the panda dormitories, assisting with feeding activities, learning about the breeding center's conservation initiatives, observing panda behaviors and biology, watching a documentary featuring these incredible animals, and preparing panda treats.

Throughout your engagement, you will engage in hands-on tasks including preparing fresh bamboo, maintaining the panda accommodations, providing meals, and crafting panda-themed desserts. Lunches will be shared among both volunteers and staff members alike, ensuring everyone enjoys a balanced meal. At the conclusion of your day, you will receive a volunteer certification acknowledging your contributions, which can serve as a lasting reminder of your experiences.

Following your session, your driver will transport you back to your accommodation in Chengdu. Additionally, there is an exclusive opportunity available within the facility—the chance to hold a baby panda in your arms. However, this experience comes with its own costs, which should be covered by the participant themselves.

It is essential to note certain requirements for those interested in participating:
- Age range: Participants must be between 9 and 65 years old.
- Health considerations: A medical clearance from a physician is mandatory; individuals should avoid coming to China if they plan to travel unprepared, as this could affect their safety and well-being upon arrival.

Lastly, it is worth noting that Wolong Panda Breeding Center offers a superior visitor experience compared to Dujiiangyan, offering a more serene environment and fewer crowds.
