Amazon, Nanay & Momon Rivers Excursion

Explore one of the most breathtaking regions within Peru's captivating Amazonian ecosystem, embarking upon a journey along the renowned Nanay and Moxos (formerly known as Momo) rivers near the bustling city of Iquitos. This extraordinary expedition promises an unparalleled experience!

Upon pickup from your hotel in Iquitos at 9 am, we commence our expedition into the heart of the Amazon rainforest aboard a meticulously prepared vessel designed to navigate the vast expanse of the world's largest river. The voyage offers an immersive experience, with the verdant canopy of the jungle serving as our canvas, teeming with vibrant flora indicative of a thriving ecosystem.

As we traverse this lush terrain, we encounter diverse wildlife, including macaws, toucans, monkeys, and an array of reptilian inhabitants, among them the formidable anaconda. Our journey continues, leading us towards the majestic Nanay River, stretching over 315 kilometers (196 miles), where we shall explore its picturesque towns of Santo Tomás, Padre Cocha, and Santa Clara. Following this, we proceed to the Momon River.

At an authentic Amazonian camp, we indulge in a sumptuous buffet lunch, allowing ample time to savor the flavors before embarking on a leisurely stroll through the dense jungle. During this excursion, we engage with the Boras Indigenous Peoples, learning about their rich cultural heritage and participating in traditional dances if desired.

Our final destination is the same point of origin, where we rendezvous with our hotel in Iquitos by 5 pm, ensuring a seamless conclusion to our adventure.
