Are you an admirer of nature? This guided bird-watching excursion through Minca will allow you to explore the rich biodiversity found within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

We will commence by picking you up from your accommodation between the hours of 5 and 5:30 am for an excursion to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, situated in the northwestern region of Colombia. Upon reaching Minca, approximately forty-five minutes after departure, we shall proceed with a detailed explanation of the hiking route and provide you with a set of binoculars for enhanced observation opportunities.

Upon arrival at Minca, we will facilitate introductions among participants before embarking on a three-hour hike through designated trails. During this period, it is imperative to maintain vigilance as various species of flora and fauna may come into view. Notably, we anticipate encountering toucans, hummingbirds, and owl-like creatures within our journey.

Our itinerary includes a comprehensive exploration of local avian life, focusing on specific species such as flycatchers and Santa Marta parakeets. This session will enable attendees to acquire insights into the unique features of these endemic species, which are predominantly found in the Minca area.

Following our engagement with nature's wonders, we will conclude the activity by returning to your hotel, expected to occur between 9 and 9:30 am.
