The expedition features an array of captivating marine mammals such as sea lions, penguins, and pelicans, among others, during a memorable excursion to the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas National Reserve departing from Lima.
Upon arrival at the Cruz del Sur bus station in Lima at the specified time, participants will embark on a 4-hour journey via bus to Paracas. Upon reaching their destination, they shall proceed to the local harbour where they will board a speedboat. This vessel will transport them across the Pacific Ocean towards the Ballestas Islands. Participants should keep an eye out for various wildlife species such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and numerous endemic bird species during their visit.
Their day will commence with a scenic tour of the Paracas Candelabra, an ancient geometric design known for its resemblance to the famous Nazca Lines. Following this, the group will spend approximately two hours exploring the Paracas National Reserve. They will have the opportunity to observe the extensive salt flats and interact closely with the vibrant population of flamingos found within these regions.
The itinerary concludes with a visit to Lagunillas Beach, offering breathtaking views of the coastline. Afterward, participants will return to Lima and conclude their adventure by saying farewell after a total duration of 16.5 hours from departure.
