Tsavo east national park, Kenya
In this safari experience, participants will have the opportunity to embark on numerous game drives, during which they will have the unique pleasure of observing an array of wildlife species, including the iconic Big Five (polar bears, lions, elephants, rhinos, and leopards) as well as various zebra and giraffe populations.
Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo East
On Day 1, our driver will depart from Nairobi at 7:00 AM and commence the journey towards Tsavo East National Park. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a hearty lunch before embarking on a captivating afternoon game drive aimed at spotting the iconic "Man-Eaters" of Tsavo—elephants. Following this, visitors will explore the renowned Aruba Dam, known for hosting diverse wildlife, particularly during the dry season. Post-game activities, the group will proceed back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at either Ashnil Aruba/Voi Safari Lodge or comparable accommodations.
Day 2: Tsavo East to Tsavo West
The next morning, after breakfast, guests will set off for Tsavo West National Park. Spanning an expansive area of 20,808 square kilometers (8,034 square miles), this park offers a rich tapestry of habitats, including open plains interspersed with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops. Due to its abundant water sources, Tsavo West National Park is an ideal destination for witnessing massive herds and exceptional game viewing opportunities, featuring species like cheetahs, lions, leopards, and hyenas, alongside an impressive herd of over 3,500 elephants. Evening meals and accommodations will be arranged at Ngulia Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
Following breakfast on Day 3, guests will continue their journey to Amboseli National Park. Known for its extensive grassland cover, this park features a mix of acacia trees, plains, swamps, and rocky thorn bushes. Its varied landscapes and prolonged dry seasons create optimal conditions for observing large concentrations of African animals, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses. The lodge where they'll spend the night will offer scenic views just in time for dinner. An afternoon game drive will follow at 16:00 hours, providing ample opportunity to witness various animal species. Evening meals and lodging arrangements will take place at Alodge or a similar establishment.
Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
On Day 4, guests will start their journey by heading to Lake Nakuru National Park, where they will arrive promptly for a pre-dinner game drive. The lake is renowned for its resident giraffes, waterbucks, black-and-white rhinos, buffaloes, and lions. An afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru and in the surrounding forest will round out the day's activities, followed by a sumptuous dinner and accommodation at Nakuru Lodge/Buraha Zenoni Resort or a comparable choice.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara
Starting Day 5, guests will embark on an exciting adventure to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, they will dine and relax at the lodge before engaging in an afternoon dip in the waters. Later in the evening, they will undertake an evening game drive specifically designed to spot the Big Five and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stays will be made available at Mara Jambo Lodge or another suitable venue.
Day 6: Masai Mara Full Day
Embark on a full-day safari experience starting from Day 6, focusing on game drives through the reserve. Guests will observe a variety of animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, zebra, hippos at the Mara River, giraffes, hyenas, rhinos, and numerous others. Additionally, they might opt to visit the Masai Village for a glimpse into their traditional lifestyle and cultural insights.
Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi
On Day 7, guests will begin their journey back to Nairobi. They will commence their morning game drive within the Masai Mara region, concluding with breakfast and departure, ultimately returning to Nairobi in the late afternoon.
