This self-guided bike ride commences from Hāwea to Wānaka, traversing the scenic Hāwea River trails and continuing along the Clutha River to Wānaka. Your guide will instruct you on the route ahead, prepare your bike for departure, and assist in setting up your equipment.

The itinerary features a leisurely journey along the Hāwea River trails, stopping at Albert Town's Pembroke Patisserie for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat (closing at 2:00 PM). Following the river, you'll continue onto the Clutha River, embarking upon a trail that takes you past the outlet and into the heart of Wānaka. Upon arrival, your bike will be retrieved, and you'll return home, having experienced a 30-kilometer ride suitable for both beginners and advanced cyclists. The ride offers approximately two-and-a-half hours of active time interspersed with opportunities to appreciate the scenery and engage with the local community.

Opting for electric-assist bicycles ensures a smooth and enjoyable ride for all participants. These vehicles are equipped with 'Day Packs' on the rear racks, providing ample storage space for your belongings.
