Birdwatching in the Ebro Delta

Experience an engaging Ebro Delta birdwatching tour, exploring the captivating Les Olles lagoon and Fangars Bay.

We shall rendezvous at the designated hour at the reception of Camping Ampolla Playa de L'Ampolla, commencing our tour with an environmental educator who will guide us through the Delta del Ebro Natural Park's fauna. We shall commence our exploration of the Les Olles lagoon, a lesser-known yet biodiverse area within the park, where we shall observe various bird species such as mallards, egrets, kingfishers, stilts, and flamingos. Additionally, we will visit viewpoints situated around the lagoon for an up-close look at these magnificent creatures.

Furthermore, during this informative session, we will delve into the local flora and its significance in supporting the diverse ecosystem. We will also gain insight into the surrounding rice fields, which play a crucial role in maintaining the ecological balance of the region. This birdwatching expedition, encompassing both the Les Olles lagoon and the Fangar bay, takes place throughout the entire coastline, starting from L'Ampolla and concluding at the fishing port of Illa de Mar.

The duration of our tour is estimated to range between two and three hours, concluding with our return to the initial gathering spot.
