The Château of Azay-le-Rideau, constructed during the reign of François I in the heart of the Loire Valley, exemplifies the grandeur of the Renaissance era. Standing upon an island created by the Indre River, this 16th-century architectural marvel has witnessed a rich tapestry of historical events. Initially acquired by Gilles Berthelot in 1510, the château underwent significant renovations under the guidance of his descendant, Antoine Rafin, who lived there until the 18th century. Following the execution of Berthelot’s relative, Semblança, the château passed into the ownership of François I's companions-in-arms, who later transformed it into a symbol of their power and influence.

Over the years, the château has undergone extensive restorations, enhancing its allure through innovative features such as new highlights, interactive tours, mobile apps, and enchanting landscapes.
