Tour Details

Day 1: Departure

Our bus departs between 8:50 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., providing shared services throughout our journey.

Starting our exploration, we visit several towns within the Callejón de Huaylas:

- Carhuaz: A picturesque city offering breathtaking views of the snow-covered Copa Peak (6,100 meters above sea level). Enjoying local delicacies like ice cream in the alleyway is an essential part of this trip.

- Yungay and Campo Santo: Witnessing the city submerged by the 1970 flood provides a unique historical perspective.

- Jangas: This final destination showcases traditional artistry through demonstrations of local artisans crafting intricate sculptures.

Day 2: Adventure Day

Arriving early in the morning, departing between 7:50 and 8:30 a.m., this day promises an extraordinary experience. We traverse the southern region, visiting towns such as Recuay, Catac, Pachacoto, and Patococha Lagoon. Here, we explore:

- Pumashimi Waterhole
- Gasified Waters of Pumapampa
- Imposing Raimondi Puyas
- Cave Paintings

Upon reaching our final destination, an artisan's village offers a glimpse into the local craftsmanship process.

Day 3: Northward Exploration

Embarking from the hotel at 5 a.m., we proceed northwards via approximately 4-hour drive. Our itinerary includes:

- Llanganuco Lagoon: An enchanting spot located near the beginning of a scenic walk. Upon arrival, we pause for photographs before continuing with our ascent to the lagoon, which takes roughly 10 minutes.

- Descending the Lagoon: The return journey is completed in under three hours, leading us back to Huaraz around 6 pm.

Day 4: Return Journey

On this concluding day, picking up at 7:50 a.m. or 8:30 a.m., we depart from the hotel. Our first stop is in Carhuaz, lasting just 10 minutes. Following this, we head towards Caraz, taking a detour to Laguna Parón, known for its stunning juxtaposition against the snow-capped Pirámide Garcilaso. At Laguna Parón, visitors can either embark on a boat ride or ascend to the viewpoint for panoramic views.

Returning to our accommodation around 6:00 p.m., we conclude another successful leg of our journey.
