Dinosaur Footprints Of Cal Orck'O, Sucre, Sucre, Bolivia
Explore the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Crater of Maragua, a site rich with geological marvels shaped over millennia. This unique location, once traversed by prehistoric creatures like the dinosaurs, has been transformed into a haven for the Jalqa community, offering visitors an opportunity to witness nature's enduring beauty firsthand.
Starting each day at 8:30 AM, tourist groups are collected from their respective hotels. Upon arrival, they embark on a one-hour journey to ascend towards the colonial chapel of Chataquilla. Following this, they undertake a two-hour trek along the Inca Trail, which leads them through breathtaking landscapes and ancient ruins. Upon reaching the end of the trail, a waiting vehicle will transport them to the Maragua Crater, where they partake in an exquisite vegetarian lunch accompanied by a mesmerizing view of the rock formation known as La Garganta del Diablo. Post-lunch, the group proceeds to explore the dinosaur footprints for approximately two hours before returning to the historic city of Sucre. Should availability permits, a local weaver can be engaged to share insights into the intricate artistry of the Jalqa culture.
