Dharavi Slum Tour

Dharavi is the largest slum in Asia, housing over one million inhabitants; this vast urban setting offers an opportunity for comprehensive engagement with daily life and contemporary socio-economic challenges within its confines. Our educational excursion will encompass a detailed exploration of this vibrant neighborhood, allowing participants to gain profound insights into the lived experiences of its residents while engaging in open dialogue regarding the multifaceted social issues confronting the community.

Upon arriving at the ThirdWave Coffee Shop as the designated meeting point, we proceed to Dharavi Slums. Here, we commence by exploring the bustling working district, where residents engage in various professions. Subsequently, we move into the residential area, where we delve into the daily lives of the community members and address the social issues they face. Our journey concludes with a visit to Khumbharwada, an intriguing neighborhood within Dharavi. Following this, we make our way back to the ThirdWave Coffee Shop, from whence we began our exploration.
