Exciting trip to the Chinancocha Lagoon

In this expedition, we shall explore the diverse landscapes and natural wonders of Huascaran National Park. Our journey begins with an ascent along the Maria Josefa trail, culminating in the enchanting beauty of the turquoise-lavender hues of the Laguna Chinancocha.

Starting our journey from the hotel in Huaraz at approximately 9:00 a.m., we will proceed north along the Callejón de Huaylas, traversing the majestic Cordillera Blanca and its neighboring black mountains. This scenic route offers us the opportunity to encounter various Andean villages, providing a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage while admiring breathtaking landscapes.

As we continue towards the Huascarán National Park, we will make a brief stop at the picturesque Llanganuco ravine and the serene Chinancocha Lagoon. Upon reaching this location, we will embark on a renowned trail known as the "Maria Josefa" path, which is celebrated for its lush forested areas. Our exploration will commence approximately one hour and thirty minutes after setting out, allowing ample time for both an informative guided tour and leisurely lunch.

Following the completion of our excursion, we will head back to the Campo Santo de Yungay, where we will board the transportation service to return to the city of Huaraz. We anticipate arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m., ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the day.
