Day 1

On Day 1, our representative will pick you up at your hotel in Kandy via vehicle at approximately 7:00 AM (or earlier depending on your hotel location). Following this, you will embark on a guided exploration of the Knuckles Mountain Range. Your tour begins in the early morning, as you set off towards the Knuckles Peak.

Your journey will commence with a Tea Trail Trek, which takes you uphill along rugged terrain, traversing gravelly pathways and dense bush forests. Along the way, you'll encounter numerous wooden bridges over streams and rivers. The path offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including a large, serene rock formation offering spectacular vistas. You'll also spot endemic flora and fauna such as rare bird species and elusive wildlife.

During the trek, there will be opportunities to stop for picnics, enjoying refreshments amidst picturesque landscapes. As you ascend, you’ll pass through various terrains, including dense evergreen dwarf forest and endemic creeper and cane bamboo growth. Upon reaching higher elevations, you may encounter smaller rocky outcrops with scenic views.

Afterwards, you'll descend the mountain slopes on a circular route, leading to an exclusive Base Camp located on the eastern slope of the Knuckles Range. This overnight accommodation provides all necessary amenities, ensuring comfort throughout your stay.

Day 2

The second day of your adventure kicks off with a hearty breakfast served at a nearby camping site. From here, you will begin your downhill trek, departing from the tea plantation area. The scenery here transforms dramatically as you enter lush high-altitude forests filled with towering pines, eucalyptus, and turpentine trees. Birdsong and the occasional glimpse of small animals add to the enchantment of the hike.

As you progress deeper into these woods, you'll come across cascading waterfalls and natural pools, providing a refreshing swim option. The journey through colorful rice paddies reveals scenes of traditional villages and local agriculture, where you might even catch glimpses of bustling markets selling fresh produce.

In addition to the natural beauty, you'll encounter traditional villages and their vibrant cultures. Enjoy a meal prepared by the locals, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of the region. While traveling through these areas, remember to wear sturdy footwear suitable for outdoor activities, as you may become quite muddy and wet after your excursion.

By evening, you will return to your hotel, having completed another successful leg of your adventure. The exact pickup time will depend on your arrival at the hotel and road conditions.
