From Arequipa || 2-day excursion to the Chachani volcano ||

Prepare to embark on an exhilarating two-day journey up the majestic Chachani Volcano, offering thrill-seekers an unparalleled adventure starting from Arequipa.

Itinerary
Day 1
We will pick up our guests at their hotel in Arequipa at 7:30 AM in a 4x4 vehicle for an exciting excursion. Are you ready for an authentic adventure? At 10:00 AM, we'll arrive at Pampa Cañahuas, located behind the volcano Chachani. During this stop, the guide will provide some basic recommendations.

Starting from 8:00 AM, we will begin our ascent on foot over two hours with gradual climbs of moderate intensity until reaching the base camp situated at 5200 meters above sea level. We will set up tents here and then have lunch consisting mainly of soup and pasta or canned food.

As night falls, we will take tea and head back to bed.

Day 2
The second day begins at 2:00 PM. After preparing ourselves once again for the adventure and checking that everything is in order, we'll enjoy a delicious breakfast to get us going. Then comes the highlight: climbing to the summit of the Chachani Volcano.

If conditions permit, we should reach the summit around 5:00 PM after a strenuous hike. Once there, you will have time to rest and admire the breathtaking view of the surrounding volcanoes: the Coropuna, the snow-capped peaks of the Ampato, Huallaga, active Sabancaya, Misti, and Ubinas.

After this break, we will descend towards the base camp. While descending, we will make several stops along the way to rest. Upon reaching the starting point, we will find a waiting 4x4 that will bring us back to Arequipa. You will be dropped off at your hotels by 6:00 PM.

This two-day trip includes one night's accommodation and breakfast in tented campsites.
