Broome, Australia
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Mitchell Falls on an ancient frontier adventure.
Upon departing from Broome, our journey takes us northward over King Sound, renowned for its immense tides and among the highest globally. We traverse Walcott Inlet Estuary, an uncommonly encountered feature within the Harding Range, followed by the awe-inspiring King Cascade situated along the Prince Regent River. Our destination is Mitchell Plateau, where the indigenous communities, comprising the Wunambal, Gaambera, Kwini, and Balangarra, reside.
Upon touchdown at Mitchell Plateau, we partake in refreshments and a comfortable layover before embarking once more to witness the breathtaking scenery. As we navigate towards Mitchell Falls, we encounter the magnificent Horizontal Waterfalls, a natural marvel best viewed during the tidal shifts. Continuing our journey, we explore the Buccaneer Archipelago, with its vast array of islands, notably featuring Cockatoo and Koolan Iron-ore mines.
Our next stop is Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, where visitors can indulge in a delightful meal served onsite, engage in swimming at the farm’s facilities, and participate in a pearl farming tour to understand the historical significance of pearling and the origins of some of the world's prized pearls.
As we continue our coastal voyage, we admire the picturesque bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula, Beagle Bay, James Price Point, Willie Creek, and Broome's iconic Cable Beach. Ultimately, our flight concludes upon returning to Broome.
