Day 1
We commence our journey with the pickup from your hotel at 8:00 am for a trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visiting Pisac, a colonial Inca site renowned for its impressive stone walls, agricultural terraces, irrigation systems, and the largest cemetery of the Inca Empire.
Upon arrival, we proceed to explore the vibrant artisanal market, where skilled craftsmen showcase their exquisite ceramics, textiles, jewelry, Andean instruments, alpaca products, and other treasures. Following this, we embark upon a leisurely 1-hour drive through the Sacred Valley towards Urubamba, where we will enjoy a meal at a local restaurant offering authentic traditional dishes prepared with fresh ingredients.
Later in the day, we pay homage to the architectural marvels of Ollantaytambo, an archaeological complex showcasing the ingenious techniques used by the Incas to work stone, including the majestic structures that stand as testament to their civilization's engineering prowess. Our exploration includes visiting temples, terraces, warehouses, and an enormous Inca monolith.
Following our excursion, we transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where our experienced team awaits to escort us to the Aguas Calientes station. From there, we travel via train to the nearby town of Aguas Calientes, where our accommodations will be arranged according to your preferences – either with or without additional services.
Day 2
On Day 2, we begin with a scenic ride to Machu Picchu, ascending along an intricate trail that provides breathtaking views of the iconic Urubamba River. Upon arrival, we embark on a guided tour that showcases the magnificent terraces, stairways, and ceremonial precincts of this awe-inspiring archaeological site. Afterward, we dine at a nearby restaurant, savoring the local cuisine.
Our final destination lies in the heart of Cusco, where we transfer back to our hotel, concluding another memorable expedition filled with historical insights and cultural experiences.
