The expedition commences between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., during which our transportation will depart from your accommodations to the town of Cusipata. This journey will cover an approximate distance of two hours.
Upon arrival in Cusipata at around 6:30 a.m., guests will partake in a sumptuous buffet breakfast. Following this meal, they will commence their ascent via a communal dirt road, traversing approximately four kilometers. Throughout this journey, participants will have the opportunity to marvel at the diverse array of flora and fauna characteristic of the Andean landscape.
A seasoned local guide will be accompanying each participant throughout the ascent, providing guidance on navigating at higher altitudes. As the elevation increases, the vibrant mountain network gradually becomes visible, culminating in a stunning vista at 5,200 meters above sea level. The geological formations within this region offer a glimpse into the grandeur of nature's creation.
Following the peak experience, visitors may choose to explore the nearby Red Valley, though this optional excursion is entirely dependent upon individual preferences. Afterward, there will be ample free time for photography opportunities before descending back down the same route.
Upon reaching Cusipata, guests will enjoy a leisurely lunch, followed by a comfortable ride back to the imperial city of Cusco. Upon arrival, our transportation will promptly transport us to the bustling heart of the city (estimated to conclude around 4:30 p.m.).
