From Funchal, Intermediate (Level 2) Canyoning Adventure

Experience an exhilarating Canyoning adventure that connects you intimately with the natural surroundings. Navigate through concealed waterfalls, streams, and forested areas as you traverse the river's course, immersing yourself in an unforgettable journey of exploration and discovery.

Starting from Funchal, Canico, or Câmara de Lobos, guests will be picked up and driven to the designated canyoning location. Upon arrival, they will meet their experienced guides who will provide all necessary equipment for the activity. Following this, guests will walk approximately 15 minutes towards the entrance of a picturesque stream.

Upon reaching the stream's entrance, participants will undergo an initial safety briefing, during which they will learn essential safety protocols and instructions regarding the various activities planned for the day. This includes abseiling down breathtaking waterfalls, jumping into refreshing natural pools, and swimming amidst stunning natural surroundings.

Throughout the journey, guests will enjoy exhilarating experiences such as sliding through natural water slides and rappelling into serene rock pools, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Notably, the beginning section of the stream features moderate vertical challenges (up to 18 meters) interspersed with smaller walking segments and numerous recreational areas.

As the river flows continuously throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to leap over multiple waterfalls and engage in playful activities. A brief rest period with snacks and beverages will be taken midway through the excursion, allowing guests to fully appreciate the beauty around them before continuing on.

Throughout the entirety of the day, professional guides will document each participant's experience via photographs and video footage, ensuring every moment is captured and shared with loved ones upon return. Upon concluding the tour, guests will be transported back to the starting point to conclude their adventurous day.
